The versatile 500ex series is configurable as a Thin Client for Microsoft Embedded Operating Systems such as CE .NET and XPe which adds reliability by eliminating unecessary moving parts such as fans and rotating media (Hard Disk Drives). A Hard Disk Drive can be added to work in starndard Microsoft environments such as XP, Windows 2000 and others as a Thick Client. Either way, it is fanless.
This sleek and elegant design provides an ultra-compact footprint of only 8" by 9" which frees up valuable counter space. Thick or thin it is silent. The 500ex maintains all of the benefits of an open systems enviroment. Wired or Wireless, the 500ex will provide a long duty cycle and maximize your return on investment.
